2016 Pink Stumps Day is coming up! February 03 2016
Cromer Cricket Club is again stumping up to be part of the Pink Stumps Challenge by hosting our own Pink Stumps Day – an initiative from the McGrath Foundation that brings the magic of the Sydney Pink Test to our community!
We will be running our event on Sunday February 21st.
There will be games held in a similar fashion to last year, with a BBQ breakfast as a fundraiser for the McGrath Foundation.
Event details:
- Date: Sunday 21st February
- Starts: 9:00am
- Location: St Matthews Reserve
There will be Parents vs juniors games throughout the day, as well as Seniors vs (All stars 11 Committee & Juniors).
Raffle tickets will be sold on the day, and will be drawn just before Seniors Game.
Major raffle prizes include:
- A signed cricket ball by Glenn McGrath
- 2 signed cricket bats by the Sydney Sixers
Other fundraising activities include:
- Cromer Cricket Club World Famous Barbeque & soft drinks
- Guessing Competitions
- Pink Hairspray & Sunscreen Stand
- Pink Cakes & Treats on the Day
- A Best dressed competition on the day
Finally the most important is the Cricket Draw for the day. We will have an extra/junior Kanga kit setup for anyone not assigned to a team to have a hit.
All games are 20 overs. Games will be umpired by a Cromer Cricket Committee Member (who can be bribed no ICAC here)
