Cromer BBQs News March 18 2013

Cromer BBQs News The Cromer BBQs team has been busy recently, here is a quick look at the recent achievements and upcoming events.

  • Cromer BBQs became 2nd Grade minor premiers. This is the first minor premiership for the team in 10 seasons.
  • Cromer BBQs defeated Manly Leagues to progress to 2nd Grade Grand Final. Scott Waygood top-scored with 47 and was ably assisted by captain Jason Perry in a 3rd wicket partnership worth 68. This went a long way towards Cromer’s eventual total of 144, and given the nature of finals cricket and the incredibly slow outfield, this was a very competitive score. And so it proved on Day 2, with Andrew Wyllie leading the charge with 7/21 as Leagues surrendered for just 46 runs.
  • The BBQs will play Harbord BC at Passmore this weekend in the grand final from 1pm Sat & Sun (March 22 and 23). Supporters are encouraged to come down and watch the fun!

Good luck to the BBQs in their upcoming grand final.
