U13 Cromer Kings - Kyle Martin March 02 2013
Playing against the equal top team and first game after Christmas this was a great challenge. Unfortunately with all the rain, Nolans was very damp, we lost the toss and was sent into bat. Kyle Martin opened the batting and retired on a fantastic 30 runs that would probably have been 50 runs if the ground was dry. Jake De Angelis scored a quick 15, Lachlan Scheffers 15 (no) and Adam Hayes (8) with the other batters scoring 4 or less. We reached 9/98 off 30 overs.
In reply Jake (1/13) broke the opening partnership and Ben (1/7) bowled a great delivery to knock the other openers middle stumps over. Angus took the only other wickets (2/7). A dropped catch in the 3rd last over could have made a difference with Harbord scoring the required runs on the 4th last ball in a close game.
Man of the Match was Kyle for great batting reaching 30 retired.
