Batting first Cromer looked to get quick runs. Jake (1) was bowled in the 2nd over. Ethan Jenkins (retired 29no) was joined by Adam Hayes (28) for a 68 run partnership with the running between wickets akin to tip & run. Nathan Hogg (10), Angus O’Donnell (25) and Ben Quinn (20) kept the runs ticking over before Lachlan Scheffers hit (31no) in just under 5 overs with five 4’s and two 3’s to took the total to 5 for 169.
In reply a run out in the second over by Angus / Kyle and then tight bowling by Tenyong Tenzin (0/6), Nick Corcoran (1/9), Kyle Martin (0/8) and Joel Mule (0/6) restricted scoring. Lachlan Scheffers bowled a double wicket maiden (2/7) took care of their first change batter that scored 28. With a Ben Quinn (1/9) wicket the score didn’t change and 3 wickets feel. A dangerous partnership was then broken by a Joel / Kyle runout. Their middle order batter took control with the bowlers being hit around Angus O’Donnell (0/10) and Nathan Hogg (0/18). Before Jake De Angelis (2/5) helped get into their tail. Ethan Jenkins ((0/11) and Adam Hayes (0/7) saw their total reach 8 for 109.
