U13 Cromer Kings vs Cromer Waughlords November 24 2012
The boys were very excited that the Cromer teams would be playing each other. The Waughlords won the toss and sent the Kings into bat. Batting first James Schulenburg and Ben Quinn (5) got the team off reaching 11 before Ben was out bowled. Tenyong Tenzin (29) then joined James reaching his highest individual score before being caught to a great caught & bowled. Lachlan Scheffers (9) scoring quickly but was out caught off the gloves by a good catch to Conner at wicketkeeper. Joel Mule (2) was caught and then Kyle Martin (38no) was joined by Nick Corcoran (41) scoring his highest individual score and also lifting the run rate. Angus O’Donnell (5no) kept the scoring going for the team to reach 5 for 186. A team highest score.
In replay the Cromer Waughlords batsman looked to establish a few partnerships. Opening the bowling Jake De Angelis 1 for 3 (3 overs) and Adam 2 for 2 (3 overs) bowled exceptionally well. Nathan Hogg bowled 3 maiden overs and Nick Corcoran took 1 for 8 off 3 overs. Joel Mule took 1 for 11 (3 overs) and Lachlan Scheffers took 2 wickets off 4 balls to wrap the innings up including the wicket of Cameron Gall the highest scorer for the Waughlords.
Player of the Day was Nick Corcoran for reaching his highest batting score of 41 in a thoroughly entertaining fashion hitting three 4’s and plenty of big hits.
