Cromer U13 Kings - Kyle Martin November 10 2012

Cromer lost the toss and was sent into bat. Batting first Adam Hayes (23) and Angus O’Donnell (49no) got the team off to a great start with great running between the wickets and good shot selection. Angus retired for a personal best score. Ethan Jenkins (24no) also retired for a personal highest score and Jake De Angelis (30) was unlucky to be caught off a well timed pull shot that seemed to be travelling to the boundary only to be intercepted by a great catch. Nathan Hogg (15no) and Nick Corcoran (16no) helped to compile a score of 2 for 180.

In replay the Collaroy Plateau batsman established an opening partnership until Tenkyong Tenzin affected a direct hit run out from close to the boundary. Kyle Martin bowling as the first change bowler then produced a double hatrick of 4 wickets in 4 balls. First wicket was a catch to Nathan at point, then 2 clean bowled wickets followed. The next batsman tried to defend with a straight bat, however the ball was a little short of a length and the batsman only managed to bring an angled bat down so that the ball bounced onto the stumps to produce a double hatrick. Well done Kyle.

Wickets followed to Adam Hayes with a caught and bowled, Ben Quinn took a catch off the bowling of Nathan Hogg, Lachlan Scheffers effected a runout throwing to wicket keeper Jake De Angelis, Joel Mule bowled a batman when he got an inside edge and Jake took the final wicket again bowled with the batsman hitting on. The Collaroy Plateau innings ended in the 29 over when they were all out for 43.
