Cromer U13 Kings Play of the Day - Jake De Angelis and Ben Quinn October 20 2012
Batting first, the team started at a steady pace with Kyle retired on 14. Adam Hayes lifted the momentum with a quick fire 10, before Nathan hit an equal team high score of 41 in no time. Not to be outdone Jake DeAngelis hit 7 boundaries to go even better and after being dropped on 41 played well to take full advantage of this compiling a magnificent innings reaching 52 not out. Angus O’Donnell was great support with a solid 23. A total 6/172 was a great team performance.
In reply, the bowling last week’s hero leg spinner opened the bowling to pick up 3 wicket and Ben Quinn bowling well to have figures of 3 for 2 off 3 overs. Lachlan Scheffers, James Schulenburg, Ethan Jenkins and Angus O’Donnell all picked up a wicket each. Cromer relaxed a little in the heat with the opposition at 9/46 before a great last wicket stand reaching 81.
