Cromer BBQs Play of the Day - Andrew Wyllie September 29 2012
Despite being in the box seat upon the commencement of Day 2, having the opposition on the back foot at 3/49 chasing 223, it was imperative for one of the BBQs to step up and ensure that a likely victory was achieved with sufficient haste so as to allow the team to watch the end of the AFL Grand Final.
Despite nursing an upper-leg injury, Andrew Wyllie was an absolute standout with the ball. Bowling unchanged from the southern end, Andrew bagged the first “Michelle” (5-for) of the season on the way to claiming figures of 5/25 off 12.5 overs, including an absolute peach of a delivery that straightened to just clip the very top of off stump. That four of his wickets were clean bowled was a testament to his relentless line and length throughout the afternoon.
