Cromer BBQs Play of the Day - Matt Isackson September 22 2012
Things were not playing out quite the way Cromer had hoped on Day 1 of its Round 2 encounter. After winning the toss and electing to bat in sunny conditions, the team got off to a decent start before slumping to 6/118. There couldn’t have been a better time for Matt Isackson to step up and demonstrate his credentials with the willow.
After a tentative start, Matty’s confidence grew every time he pierced the cover field; cleverly using his wrists to hit boundaries behind square towards the end of his knock. The last man out for 48, he fell just short of what would have been a well-deserved a half century after guiding Cromer to a total of 223.
