Cromer BBQs Play of the Day - Dan Waygood September 15 2012
Chasing 379 was always going to be a tough assignment, even in conditions equating to a batsman’s paradise. Despite 6 of Cromer’s top 8 reaching 19 runs, only Dan Waygood was able to convert his start into a score of note.
Dan was ruthless to anything pitched up, repeatedly lofting balls back over the bowler’s head.
When they dropped short, he despatched the ball to the boundary with impunity. After looking the goods to notch up his third-ever ton, Dan’s innings came to a premature end when he holed out on the square leg boundary off the bowling of Cromer’s ‘own’ Paul Heffernan, who plays for Harbord BC.
