Cromer BBQs Play of the Day - Scott Waygood September 08 2012
On a day where little went right for Cromer, conceding 378 by stumps, Scott Waygood was a standout. Sending down more than half the overs bowled from the southern end, Scott finished with figures of 1/55 off 18 with 4 maidens - very respectable figures on an unforgiving St Matthew’s Farm pitch and lightning-fast outfield. He was one of the few bowlers to repeatedly beat the bat in his first spell, and bowled with noteworthy control and variation later in the day. Without his two spells of accurate bowling, the scoreboard could have become truly embarrassing for the home side.
