Pink Stumps Day 2012 Wrap-up March 28 2012

The club held the Pink Stumps Day on Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 February this year. It was an outstanding success with over $1,460 raised for the McGrath Foundation.

The Committee would like to thank everyone for their fantastic contribution because without your help, we couldn’t put such an event on.

We would like to say some special thanks to those that were directly involved including our Sponsors for the day who provided prizes for the raffle:

  • Harry’s Butcher, Wheeler Heights
  • Cromer Golf Club
  • Rapid Precision Training (Steve: 0412 061 882 or e-mail steve@unleashcompression.com.au and steve@rapidprecisiontraining.com.au)
  • Unleash Compression (Steve: 0412 061 882 or e-mail steve@unleashcompression.com.au)
  • Collaroy Hardware
  • Swish Coffee (Iwan: 0414 886 629)
  • Wesfil Australia Pty Ltd

We would particularly like to thank the players, coaches and managers who played in pink on the day including the 2 Kanga teams (Raiders and Sharks), the U12/2 Waughlords and the 7th Grade Nevilles. Also a big thanks also goes to our T20 BBQ’s who had a spectacular win on the Sunday (a direct hit even broke one of the new pink stumps requiring Jason Perry our Senior Vice President to run out another one to finish the game!) and are now in the T20 final this weekend.

Also, a big thanks to the Waughlords and the Seniors for manning the BBQ on Saturday at Beverley Job Park — it was an outstanding success.

We would also like to make a special mention of the U9 Clarkies. All the parents from the team sponsored the team for runs scored, fours scored, sixes scored and wickets taken. The team was on fire on Saturday and scored a season high score of 138 runs including 6 fours, 1 six and 5 wickets raising $270 on their own! What a fantastic effort.
